this is a post i should've blogged few weeks back but was kinda busy from the recent dive trip to Sipadan, which i will talk about in my next post. as from my previous post i've talked about how this year's birthday wasn't like my birthdays before but yet it was just like any other birthdays i've had. in a good way of course. since the parents were away we decided to do a small bbq session at home. invited the gengkaras and poof need i say more?, we had tons of fun as usual. thank you beloved sis for the surprise wonderful birthday cake. wouldn't want to say much, but this is one of the memorable birthdays i've had.

the cake reminded me of my childhood memories, which what Elia intended to do and succeded -_-". to the Disney princesses, damn i've adored you all as long as i can remember. and you Barbie, i've had tons of you but sadly had to give you away since i've grown and you don't. lol. cis, emo mcm toy story 3.

12 june 2010 was just like any other day. guess i'm old enough to be excited like every other 12th of june before this. few years back, i would get all over excited when the clock strikes 12 waiting for the usual birthday cake and presents from the family and celebrating with the gengkaras with some makan2 or hangouts, its not like we don't do this anymore (since my birthday always falls on the semester break and almost everyone's here in KK during that time hehe) but being 22 doesn't accelerates me.

this year is a bit different from any other years, well i still hung out with the usual friends (you know i love you guys) except no usual birthday dinner with the family since the parents had to catch a flight to Korea that night. aww that's okay, i'm cool, i'm a big girl now. remember my disappointment hoping for 'the ones i hope to wish tinggal harapan'? (last year's post), well some of 'em did remembered this time and I'm glad. :) tapi kan, even you're 22, you still get those fluffy stuffs huh. hahaha the thought that counts right? lol i love it and thank you! ;D

im thankful to be given another year filled with lots of love from the loved ones. hopefully there'll be many years to come for me to be thankful for. insyaAllah.

Having the opportunity to be far away from home is a step forward to an independent journey. Even if you're not halfway around the world, life teaches you to live the way you want it to be. It may be sometimes cruel but it will be better as time goes on. The ups and downs, I've been through it all. I say its not much, and sometimes I wish it to be more than that but I know in days and years to come, it'll teach me more in facing the real thing. First stage has ended and I'm honestly very proud of myself for being this far. With the help of loved ones, not to mention names, I've done it although in tougher times, I'd almost gave up. Thank you to you and you and you. There's still a long way to go to fulfill my needs and dreams. I'm beginning to plan one at a time, I'll decide what's best and I'm doing it alone.

Freedom gives you the chance to do whatever you want and whoever you want to spend it with. I enjoyed doing what I love most, traveling. I've been to places, in the country and overseas, each and every one of it I've cherished the memories. And this particular place and to whom I've shared it with, I'm pretty sure I'll keep the memory close to me. :)

fyi, i'm home. yes, i've finally graduated from UKM, convocation in August. ;) and its time for the gengkaras hangouts. how much i've missed it. millions of stories to update. sekali jumpa definitely not enough time, everyone has a story to tell eh i mean stories to be exact. i'm back home in KK for good. will be missing the life back in uni. ;( haven't been updating in awhile, bak kata mim, blog bersawang. a lot had happened towards the end of the last semester (and i mean it, sangat byk). dramas and memories. didn't had the time to sit around updating every single thing that's happened (tujuan utama blog ni is to update my gengkaras on what's going on in life since we're far away). lol. anyway, here's on what i've been up to the last few weeks in KL, or Bangi and what i'll be missing most. ;s

definitely the girls@enam jahanams and classmates, my uni life would be lifeless and dull without you guys. i'll go crazy whenever you guys are around.

our last karaoke sessions+advance bday and ehem, girls night out.

oh my rooney, i'm sorry i left you ;( such ignorant.

The rock!

I've had the adventurous weekend ever so far. 3 days of non-stop climbing. Haha. Adventure la sgt. After almost 2 weeks break due to finals and the injury during the comp last few weeks, it's time to stop whining about the pain, how bruised my foot is and get on with it. ;p Along the way, met more new friends. Friday and Sunday as usual, in PCP. Tried more lead, and hell it was exhausting.

What was more excruciating tiring was rock climbing in Damai, Batu Caves on Saturday. Weehoo, I'm just too excited. It's been almost 4 months of wall climbing, this has been a good exposure for a 1st timer (actual rock yo!), and yes I'm talking about the heat too. Grr.. panas gila! Who ever's been there or passed by Batu Caves, you should know how pretty high the caves are. But, OF COURSE lah i did not climb to the top, that'll take me 5 more years of climbing to get me to the peak. Haha.

p/s Last paper this Thursday! The very last man! Arghh..
and I'm off to Berkelah Maran Waterfall, Pahang! maybe lol;)

okay. done with the first paper. three more to go. i'm in the campus library and since i'm still in my lazy mode, i've browsed through some wish list stuffs for my ehem, *cough birthday *cough graduation day *cough whatever day just give it to me pretty please?

oh yes i do love gadgets. in fact the whole family loves it. it runs in the family lah konon. papa is the no 1 gadget freak (kalau aku ada duit banyak pun i wont mind being considered a freak lol). he just loves to keep up with the tech but too lazy to figure out how it works. he'll get us to read the manual for him. -_-" well i dont mind him being a big fan of gadgets, cause his stuff will eventually diwariskan to us. haha like i'd already wariskan his iPod and elia inherited his previous phones. elia memang no 1 pewaris cause she's VERY good at possessing his new toys right after he buys one. grrr..and all i get is old the stuffs from her after she inherits another one of his new toy. hish.

so if ANYONE of you sangat baik hati and dont know what to do with your extra ka-ching $$ cash, i'll list some of my wish list items, in case you have no idea what to get me. rofl.

my 3 years old HP Compaq will be leaving me soon. keyboard rosak and macam2 bunyi hiphop keluar (please stay with me until i'm officially leaving campus). i have to get a new BEST FRIEND. i've been loyal to HP ever since my 1st oldie laptop (this is the 2nd) and i want to be loyal to you till the end of time. aww.. tapi tapi since i'll be heading to working life eceh, i'd like to 'upgrade' myself.. alasan! or what about Mac Book? Grrr..torn between two.

HAHA ni baru tamahak. ada BB nak iPhone 3GS. i need a new BB look, and this gold housing (on your left) looks so cool and elegant? lol. okay okay i once hated iPhone sbb touchscreen and malas nak pakai byk Apps so i got myself a BB. but BB vs iPhone at home is down to 2:3, so macam cool la juga kalau pakai iPhone, barulah 'family iPhone' bak kata Eia. okay alasan tak boleh pakai. next.

uuu.. an iPad! a multi touchscreen tech that will blow the tech freaks minds! you can see the web, read emails, flickr, watch movie, downloads and the list goes on with a single touch! no more heavy laptops to bring around or browsing webs thru your small inches screen smartphones. its another product from Apple and a hot selling item in the US now. the Apple company is postponing the worldwide release for A MONTH! because of the heavy demands in the US.

ohh my no 1 wish list! camera is a must bring item. i've played with digital cameras for so long now, and its time to move a step up. ive been into photography as long as i can remember but never had the chance to explore much because erm, i dont earn any money?! so..... PAPA I WANT ONE!! grrr.. fine. i'll go find work and earn money. -_-"

oklah oklah. barang-barang mahal ni hanyalah angan2. tak mampu nak beli lagi and i know someday and not today, u'll find a way to let me have it by ... giving it to me. kan? kan? LOL.

the first time

its the final countdown~ *sing along people.
final exam's starting tomorrow, and i'm taking a short break to post my 60th post. woohoo.. im quite surprised ive reached the 60th post in a year plus time. haha which i expected it to reach 30 a year due to the hectic+lazyness life i've had lately. lol.

anyway, for this special post, eceh, and referring to the post title, guess what? after almost 3 months terjebak dgn wall climbing, i finally had my 1st real competition. ive never thought i'd be joining any climbing comp as this was suppose to be a part time hobby. lol. in case u're wondering, no i didnt win. ;) oh well, its okay, at least i tried. but i wont say i tried my best 'cause i don't think i did. ;) with some encouragement from some climbers and close friends, i finally had the nerve to join. hell yeah i was nervous btw. but all and all, everything went well, i guess, despite a minor injury i've put myself into. special thanks to Zella and Azee for their support on the spot even though the venue was hot like hell. oh and of course to my trainer aka sifu. haha ;p

This heart breaking documentary on dolphins in human captivity was really an eye opener. lead by activist Ric O'Barry (once a dolphin trainer in the movie Flipper) and his team, they headed down all the way to Taiji, Japan to expose the unbelievable shockingly secret that you, yourself wont believe it even for a second when you see it. In a small town who is totally devoted to these cetacean intelligent creatures lies a dreadful secret. The killing of thousands of dolphins in a hidden cove off the coast of Taiji. Those people hunt dolphins for a living. They sell dolphin meats for hundreds of dollars, thousands of dollars for live ones to be send to other countries for their aquarium shows. O'Barry was eager to expose the secret to the world, his mission was to let the whole world knew about the killings and captivity of dolphins. Every year, about 23 thousands of dolphins were hunt down and killed for meat, even though local researchers knew there were high amount of toxic mercury in the dolphins due to contamination. O'Barry succeeded in exposing the hunting despite the threats from Taiji police and dolphin hunters, new laws had been ratified but the killing is still going on until this very day. Unless we stop it.

I'm highly recommending all of you who's reading this to download/get from your friends/or me this academy award winning documentary. I urge you to watch. I beg you. It touches me deep. Honestly i cried. It was painful. Not just because of the dolphins but the helpless feeling i felt not been able to help out. For some reason, we might not get to help these dolphins, but if we start from whats close to us, somehow, it will make a hell lot of difference in the future. I want to make a difference, a change, in any way, i will try. I'll find a way to start from whats close to me.

aahh the overdue updates due to the busy-ness of life besides uni works and assignments ;p. so the month of march has been hectic. with dinners and events and activities. macam-macam lah. and here i am, updating the fun stuffs. these could be a long one, so just bare with me. if you cant feel the fun-ness ive had, u know where to close the tab. ;D im going to miss all the fun, berat hati to leave this place :( :(

Dato' Onn College Annual Dinner
3 years in this college @ hostel. mama didnt want me to stay outside as she wanted me to feel the campus life so much. i couldnt agree more. ;) ive contributed a lot to this college (your welcome ;p ) and experienced a lot too. being involved in campus politics to organising events. and its time to say goodbye. ;)

and thanks to mim and her friend for lending us the saree for the dinner. grr.. it was pretty hard to get use to wearing it, or even trying to wear it. youtube's 'how to wear a saree' wasnt that helpful, we were trying to wrap ourselves like the 'wrap your friend like a mummy with tissue rolls' game. thank god an indian girl was kind enuf to help us wrap this thing around us. lol agak selekeh juga la, i wasnt prepared to get stuff+accessories for this dinner, a tshirt as an inner pun jadilah. :D

Genting Highlands trip
Ok, i have to admit. this is my FIRST time to genting. ive never had so much fun in a long time. we were enjoying ourselves to the fullest. we conquered genting like no other's bussiness. ;) spent a night and thanks to the coupons we had few months back, it was all worth it. the hotel stay, the theme park. it wouldnt be so much fun it wasnt with the girls. you guys rock.

oh the merry go round. it has always been my fav, but didnt get the chance to go for a ride. ;( and oh! ive overcome one of my biggest fear of all time, the ROLLER COASTER! if it wasnt because of the forcing and dared, i wouldnt even step foot to the outdoor theme park. arghh i was screaming like hell. haha. all and all, it was a fantastic girls day+night out.

Marine Science Annual Dinner
this was our last marine science dinner. will be missing the course mates. we get along pretty well and im happy for that. gosh, its been 3 years. time flies so fast. we'll be graduating soon and heading our own ways. no more field trips, which i'll be missing the most. ;( darn, gmbr coursemates not with me, checkout fb. ;p oh and not forgetting the after party. hee ;D

Wall climbing @ PCP
as u all know or might not have known, climbing is my latest obsession, see previous post. hahaha ive managed to bring some of the GENGKARAS to give it a try ever since i started climbing. jojo, nizar, acul, joyce, zella. so yang lain2 yg belum tu, JOM LAH. ;D mim especially. kahkah. so, recently, i brought joyce and her friend Dia along for their first time. the excited nizar pun ada la juga. came down from Johor, to go wall climbing and the Putrajaya hot air balloon fiesta. Acul taknak naik sebab malas mau mandi after that, what an excuse. so he became the photographer of the day.

this was the 2nd time it was held at Putrajaya. so after climbing, we headed to the event. there were A LOT of balloons. on the ground, and in the air. A LOT of people juga. families and so called photographers. -_-" my fav was the Darth Vader balloon. it looks scary at night, its eyes were glowing and looked as if its alive. it would be nice going in the evening, but we enjoyed the fireworks at the end.

ive been extremely caught up with work lately. so i've finally finished my last class for degree this week. finished and handed in my thesis writing on time (after spending a week on the writings and waking up early, haih). ive given my best, and hope the hard work pays off. insyaAllah. anyway, its study week. and the final's in a week plus time. four major papers. my final undergraduate exams!

15 April - Pengurusan & Pemuliharaan Pesisir Pantai (coastal management)
19 April - Biogeokimia & Kitaran Unsur (biogeochemistry and element cycle)
23 April - Interaksi Laut & Atmosfera (air & sea interaction)
29 April - Integrasi data & GIS (Data & GIS integration)

checkout the gaps. nice huh? thanks to the uni for rearranging the dates, just nice for the last minute people like us to study in between gaps. owh and the climax of the story is the VIVA (thesis presentation) pronounced as vaaiva and not veeva kereta malaysia . it'll be on the 4th-6th may. and my 15 minutes slot will be on the 5th at 11.15am. omg, wish me luck. i could need some. ;)

anyway, i havent been updating lately. check out some events + fun activities from last month ive had with the gengkaras and friends on my next post. i need some sleep now ;) and oh before that........

Dreams

"Believe in yourself"

Those were the words expressed by Mr Astronaut to a number of audiences during his public lecture on "Malaysian in Space: Dreams are Possible". In his lecture, he presented most on his experience in space. I've heard him giving talk a couple of times but never got tired of it. Its really a wonder listening to the journey he went through. The feelings he felt. The hardship undergoing the trainings before going to space. How he eats, sleeps, work, prays in space. Everything. Despite his good looks, he is a very influential person.

There were some stories that fascinated me during his talk and this was my fav. He was asked what he felt the first time he saw our very planet Earth from space. The moment he looked through the ISS, his heart drops, he could not even blink an eye, he could not breath for a second and his whole body shivers. I could imagine his feelings. The spectacular view of the living planet, Earth. The gift from God. How on earth would you react to that?

I've always love the beauty of nature and God's creation. To given a chance to see the Earth from space, I would die for it, and so did he. A trip to space was his lifetime dream since he was 10 and his impossible dream did came true eventually.

His point was, whatever your dream is, even though how impossible you think the dreams are, if you really really believe in yourself, it will become possible.

I lack of self esteem, I lack the self-confidence, I don't believe in myself. My dreams won't be possible if i don't overcome this. Someday I will, and yes, i will too try to overcome my fears and dislikes. The only way to succeed. InsyaAllah.

I know its been AWHILE. I wouldn't say I've been busy. I'm just extremely too damn lazy. It's the middle of Feb and nothing has changed. Nothing has been done and that i mean WORK. Still the same old lazy ass. Argh.. as u know, its the final semester, and hell it doesn't feels like one. I've been lazy-ing around relaxing and chillaxing (style zella) for the past few weeks. Panjat sana panjat sini. Climb sana climb sini. And the recent one was hiking at Bukit Tabur.

It sure was fun if you're a hike lover. ;) The hill is located at Taman Melawati, KL. Well, fyi, Bukit Tabur is a quartz ridge. You'll get to see quartz everywhere. It took the six of us about 3 to 4 hours to climb the hill and so, we started the journey before sunrise. You dont have to be a climber to hike the hill but some of the climb techniques was surely useful though. ;) After a half and hour journey, you'll get to see one of the best views of sunrise in KL. Ahh the beautyyy..

For some people, hiking in Bukit Tabur is like a round on a 400m track field. and for me, agak semput juga la naik tu, but not bad for a 1st timer. hehe ;D There's this one uncle, relax je naik, smiling all the way. Pergh, while we were half way up, he's already half way down (and yes, we started going up at the same time). How tough is that? tapi tak boleh lawan orang naik gunung bawa tong gas okay~ ;D

If it wasnt because of the landscape photo shoot session throughout the journey, we'd probably reach an hour early. Undeniably, the guys did some awesome shots. I'm overwhelmed.

Jan'10 gone with the wind

January 2010 is OVER. and yeah, the beginning of the new year has been keeping me busy. I've been MIA-ing for awhile. With the KK trip and other trips, my climbing obsession, thesis work and umm hangouts. It was a tiring yet fun month. ;)

Anyway, from the previous post i've mentioned about my thesis supervisor giving birth to a healthy baby boy, and last Sunday, we visited the precious little baby. OMG. He's extremely adorable. Geramm.. ;) He's 1 month plus old and the first time I held him was an awkward moment. was uncomfortable at 1st, its been awhile since I held a new born. I just cant get over his cuteness and adorable-ness and his big crystal black eyes.

sleepless nights. same old life. haih, i'm not complaining but sometimes you kinda get bored of your own life. wishing to be in someone's life instead. i know its the final semester but i dont feel like one. ive been relaxing from the beginning. gone on trips, having fun, go out ALOT, stay in bed for long hours sleeping. or not. been slacking and this is bad. i'm suppose to be really really busy top to toe with my final year project. but here i am, doing other stuffs besides sitting in front of the pc monitor all day long in the lab.

i'm not blaming my supervisor who's on leave for a month plus. btw, congrats on your baby boy Dr, i'll definitely come visit soon. ;) i'm blaming myself. totally. i've been so into climbing for almost umm 3 weeks, and yeah, im having a lot of fun. but ive realized that i havent been really into studies lately. but i'll rise soon. and finish the assignments ;) and study ;p insyaAllah. gotta get on track before the end of this month!

there's a bad news and a good news from home.

something went wrong at home, i wont say here but thank god everything's okay. been a bit worried lately. wish i could be there with the family. i'll be home soon.

and the good news is, we have a new member of the family. im extremely excited to be home next week eventho its just for awhile hehe ;) we havent named her yet. weeeee...<3

Its the 1st month of 2010. i bet everyone is listing down their resolution goals. i did too, but i wont tell. too embarrassing to tell to the world. lol. anyway, the new year's eve wasnt that much fun if to compare to last year's. though i'm missing every inch of last year with the family, i'm thankful enough to celebrate it with a handful of my gengkaras peeps. ngehe..

no, we didnt head over to crowded places.
no, we didnt enjoy any fireworks.
no, we didnt go partying in clubs. haha

instead, we booked a karaoke room for the 3 whole hours of eve (kami tidak lame ;p) from 10pm-1am, and sing our ass off. there were just five of us, almost a bunch of the gengkaras were still in kk or some celebrated in their own way. damn i miss you guys. and they we are, wishing one another a very Happy New Year.

there's just too much i'm looking forward to for the year 2010 and one of it is to graduate as a degree student.

last 2 weeks (16-19/12), we were invited to join a live on board (LOB) dive trip to Middle Rock (MR). tau tak mana? its between the waters of Johor and Singapore. alah, yg M'sia-S'pore gaduh nak claim Batu Puteh theirs somewhere around last year tu. (you'll know if u read/watch the news), MR tu dekat2 Batu Puteh ni. Well, to make long story short, Middle Rock is owned by Msia and Batu Puteh is Spore punya. okeh.

anyway, actually this trip is considered a uni work trip. i dont actually understand what kinda work trip (sbnrnya tau sikit2 tp malas nk xplain). but since the boat can still accommodate extra people, and we were on the right place right time when they were looking for extras last minute, we got invited). aww...bukan senang dpt dive lob foc! (eventho we had just one dive due to the monsoon). hell yeah, menyelam merempuh arus di MR, not everyone gets the chance.

damn, of course la mabuk. imagine u're on the boat for the whole time, makan tdo mandi untuk 4 hari!. thank god we took some tahan muntah pills but it doesnt really work. well its my 1st time living on board and it was a very challenging one. with all the traveling, all we did was eat sleep play cards. oh and the food was awesome ;)

Havent been updating since I got back to UKM last week. Couple of events has been going on since I got back from Jakarta. One of it was the MLTR Eternity Concert. Warghhh..missed the concert in Genting during Ramadhan. Was super excited the moment we saw the poster on our way to town. Yea baby, the concert was in KK. I screamed once I saw the poster and Eia was shocked enough to curse me as she was driving. ;p Cant believe they were actually coming to KK after the last tour 12 years ago. 21-12: when i was 9. :D

The publicity were very poor I would say. Found out just a couple of days before, and managed to pujuk mama to blanja us the tix. We successfully managed to drag Mama along too. Ngeh. Papa of course la tanak pegi. I had my girlfriends with me too. ;) Gosh, it was AWESOME. Loving every second of it. (fyi, I'm a big fan of the oldies).

p/s jealous tak dapat ambik gmbr after the show sbb family lapar and mim n zella did get some shots together with 'em. self potrait pun tak smpt ambik. haish. ;p

Some random story of the trip.

We got on a cab from the airport to Bandung at around 1am after waiting for almost 1 hour plus for the cab that we booked to arrived. Since Jakarta and Malaysia has a one hour time diff, Papa had some miscommunication with the taxi driver. When he told him we'll arrive at midnight M'sia time, it'll be 1am in Jkrta. Papa was pissed off. He was definitely NOT very patient when it comes to punctuality. Gosh. Well, guess that's where I got the gene from. It sometimes just pisses me off to wait and wait. Urgh, Sorry. Anyway, we were a little pissed off but it wasnt long when we chitchat-ed with him along the 3 hours ride from the airport to Bandung and found out a not so comfy news.

papa: Kamu brapa anak pak?
bapak teksi: Dalam perjalanan satu pak.
papa: Baru satu? Wah. *papa staring at him as he was a bit old to only have his first child on the way
bapak teksi: Ngak pak, pernah ada tiga tapi semua meninggal dalam bencana.
mama,eia,myself: *shocked*
papa: Hah? Mcmana? Bila? Masa tsunami tu ya? tahun 2004.
bapak teksi: Ngak2, selepas tsunami pak. Gempa bumi di Jogja. Tahun 2005. Bencana besar pak.
myself: Ouuhhhh~ (pity sound)..*loud enuf for him to hear, sorry
papa: Alala..kesian. Mcmana boleh mati? Diorang di mana masa tu?
bapak teksi: Anak-anak di rumah, ngak selamat. Neneknya ke pasar, selamat.
papa+mama: *bertubi-tubi soalan lagi*

I just cant imagine how he got thru it. He mustve beem devastated just talking about it. He and his wife wasnt there to protect them as they had to be in Jkrta to work leaving their kids with their grandma. Gosh, I feel sorry for him.

One thing why I love to travel is the food. Though I'm a bit fussy when it comes to food , but I'm totally a food lover. Well who doesnt?? Yes i hate veges. I hates cheese. I dislike too spicy food. but I have to admit Indon had tons of food you should try.

Nasi Padang. I'm not really a BIG fan of nasi padang but my parents do. They love all those weird food they have. Not that really weird la but I think they are. Haha. Anyways, it was a pretty nice big meal. :D At the same time papa was hunting for a new cook to bring back home since the NPI is in short of a cook.

Ice cream durian. You can find it a lot in Bandung. Its been my fav since our 1st try few years back. Gila babi sedap I tell you. Yes, im a big fan of durian. It'll be like in a small cup they put a few scoops of durian ice cream and put in seulas durian on top add up with some choc syrup. Urghh, sedap! Im craving for it already.

Sup buntut aka Sup ekor. Thats what they call it there, dont get be wrong. Haha. If u're a sup ekor lover like us, you'll know its quite hard to have sup ekor for dinner everyday. Its not very easy to get the ekor here according to my parents ;p its quite expensive. But there, damn pagi petang siang malam u just cant enough of sup ekor. YUM!

One thing i dislike most about Jkrta is the traffic. OMG. Lets just say if you can survive driving in Jkrta, then KL roads wont be a problem to you. Kalau KK jgn ckp la. Tutup mata pun boleh drive balik rumah dgn selamat dr Tg Aru ke Kingfisher. :p I adore the people of Jkrta especially on the roads. They have a high sense of respect towards each other on the roads. Us, Malaysians? Well, see for yourself. ;)

havent been well lately. cant tell you how many times ive walk through the rain without anything to cover the head. i would use "the rain wont kill me" whenever it rains eventhough there are tons of free gifts umbrellas in the car. but hell it makes you sick and moody. this fever comes in a package. it does everytime. i think i've just spread the 'nana virus' (thats what the cousins named it) to them back in seremban during the Aidiladha. haha sorry.

i refuse to go the clinic. not that im that afraid to see the doc but im so used to meeting 'em with papa. he would teman me into the doc's room until this very day. the only guy i could count on these days. i dont usually get sick when im here as in, in campus. but maybe because of the extreme weather, i wont be surprise to get sick for once. i'll be strong but i'm still daddy's girl ;)

Im very aware i should eat the right food at the right time. perut cepat masuk angin and i could on burping god knows how long ;s. being the stubborn me, it'll be a bit hard. no more cokes or gas drinks or cold drinks. NO MORE for the time being lah ;p have to jaga diri cause no one can do it better than yourself. that wont be a problem, ive been doing that for years now ;)

anyway, enough of this sick post, last Thursday, the night before Aidiladha, Joyce performed for an event in her uni and i was able to come and support her and her friends plus cuci mata LOL hahaha. ;) u know i love you ojoy. kah kah. it'll be even more fun if the gengkaras was thr too. ;)

am i the only one having bad days these days or should i stick with "everything happens for a reason"? everything doesn't seem right. lab work is hell i don't know whats going on, cant even really focus on a simple conversation. ive developed a bad habit of day dreaming who knows what why who how watevs. ive not been myself lately. or am i? i think im in my unconscious mind.

should i blame the extreme weather? or should i blame myself for not being at home? or maybe i worked too hard, i dont think i even worked that hard to be stressed about. i dont think i even took a break after the stressing finals. i think i really need one right now. i need a vacation.

thank god jakarta awaits on the 1st dec. hope this trip could give a peace of mind. ;) then i'll be safe sound at homesweethome on the 8th. need to do some catching up with the gengkaras. i miss you guys. and most of all missing home and the people in it. not forgetting my jantans. argh geram.

Alkisah malam tadi (lena, azella and zati) ditahan polis traffic semasa road block sebab lena bawa laju. HAHA xtau la laju mana but i think it was about 80km per hour. Laju ke?? We were driving from Putrajaya on the way back baru hantar Ojoy from Cyber. So, as i was driving with a headache ikut jalan blkg balik ukm, didnt realise there was a road block until about 100metres and the cops stopped us.

this is how it goes (sort of);

polis mata sepet (ketua dorang kot): ni kenapa bawa laju2 ni?! tak nampak ke road block lampu biru biru. kitorang ni bukannya kerja buat jalan. tau tak sini bawa 50km/j je.
polis satu lagi: nak pegi mana ni?
lena: (dalam hati oh wtf shit babi, mmg ingat pekerja buat jalan pun) eeerr..sorry2. nak balik ukm.
polis mata sepet: ni student ke keje?
lena: student
polis mata sepet: korang ni bukan budak2 lagi. *mumbling ntah apa lg, xbleh recall bcos agak panik

polis yg sebelah kiri pula: kreta beli dr sabah. (tak tau la apa motif dia ckp mcmtu)
*sementara tunggu orang tu isi nama dlm borang dia ape ntah, kami tertanya tanya kenapa kena tulis nama, nak saman ke nak berkenalan jadi penpal tulis surat?)

Ohkay, I know this will sound a bit lame, guess what, it's my first time dining in at TGI Friday's. LOL All this while people keep telling how delightful the food are. The girls and I went for window shopping in Midv (do NOT shop here, bosan) and had our post-exam-last-paper-frustrating dinner (arghh sgt frust!) and since The Gardens just opened their new branch, we decided to try the food (for the 1st timers la) despite the long waited queue. ;p Fatin and Mich recommended some good food and I decided to try the sirloin steak. I dont really remember the foods the others had but it was quite nice.

I would say the best steak in town is still THE SHIP ;) .
Its been our family fav steakhouse since God knows when.

Tak salah kan ada angan-angan tinggi untuk ke negara orang selepas habis blajar nnt? (bukan negara jiran) Saya masih sayang Malaysia, saya masih sayang KK. Dah tiba masanya membawa diri untuk merasa nikmat tinggal di negara orang sekali lagi, walaupun difikir dua tiga kali agak gentar dan nerves juga la.

Setahun tinggal di sana dulu tak cukup untuk merasai keseronokannya malah tak ingat sangat pun. Yang ingat pun ialah bawa lunch box Barbie pegi sekolah. Aww.. lob. Rindunya. Kunjungan ke negara orang tahun lalu mengubat rindu walaupun hanya 10 hari (tapi rasa mcm sebulan juga), gila siot rindu makanan Malaysia time tu. Bekalan Maggi hanya ambik masa 3 hari utk habis.

26 Okt 09 ialah Majlis Pertabalan YDP Besar NS.
Sabtu hari tu (24Okt) merupakan 1st event Di Raja di Istana Sri Menanti NS. Since Abg Zizi the event manager memerlukan crews to help him out, i tagged along some friends to work part time for him. Thursday was the rehearsal at the Istana itself.

FYI, Tuanku Muhriz ni merupakan anak buah kepada the late YDP Besar NS yang before ni, Tuanku Jaafar. Sepatutnya Tuanku Muhriz ni jadi YDP Besar selepas his dad meninggal tapi sebab he was too young (18 years old) when his dad mangkat, uncle diar yang naik takhta. Aww ayat. Lps Tuanku Jaafar ni mangkat, baru dia ganti. It took him almost 50 years to be the next Yang Di Pertua Besar NS Anyways, he is now also the new Canselor of UKM.

Well, the 1st event for the YDP Besar NS's coronation was the
Perasmian Pameran Di Raja Kita &
Pelancaran Setem dan Sampul Surat Hari Pertama.
and our job was basically to help around. this was a new experience. eventho it had nothing to do with what im pursuing, but the fun was no-whr-to-find. handling an event was not easy, despite the event was a royal event. protocols. goshh..

I would say we have to be EXTRA careful when working with the royalties. there's the do's and dont's you have to obey. hell yeah, it was tough. bila ada event mcm ni, kita dpt ramai kawan. ramai connections dr diff backgrounds and careers. this really could help alot in the future. and bila kita ada team yg sekepala dgn kita, bekerja bersama, it makes our work more fun, walaupun sometimes, ada tekanan di celah2. all i can say is, it was FUN! :) looking forward to more part time jobs since i'm not going to go back the end of the year.

sunday (11/10) Abg Nizam's (cousin) BIGDAY. wow wow wow.. gila babs panas yg melampau yg xbleh tahan yg sgt global warming. i was sweating to death. ke hulu hilir, almost 1000 org2 kampung attended the wedding ceremony, holycow..thr were a lot of helping hands around, relatives and friends, thats what makes a kampung wedding so special yet tiring. dgn melepaskan geram, we the cousins ended up conquering the karaoke session, sampaila semua org balik.

monday (12/10) balik seremban. jumpa sedara mara. pastu shopping mopping with the family. that night, i had this photography costing by Mr Saiful Nang. u SHOULD have a look at his website. malas nak crita byk. all i can say is, he is one hell of a photographer.

tuesday (13/10) SURPRISE birthday for miss michelle see yen may .. :) well, another surprise yg menjadi. thanks to those involved. you guys rock big time. and mich, we love you too. ;)

wed-fri (14-16/10) menggunakan seluruh tenaga yg ada utk menyiapkan SEGALA kerja yg belum selesai.

3Oct- slept at 5, woke up at 830am. bertolak ke kl utk berconvoy ke open house uncle kat PJ. fuh, satu dunia jelajah. eceh. anyway, i met with a cousin who just got married in London recently. they had their open house plus to introduce the newly weds to the relatives and friends. well, i havent seen him for quite some time, since he studied and currently working in London and met his beloved and got married. he couldnt remember me and neither i've ever seen him before.

Both bride and groom was a student at the Oxford Uni of London. awesome huh. the bride was even a 1st class honours student, and was one of the brightest student in Oxford. hows that? anyway, i had to be the representative for the family since papa mama semua will be coming to kl only next wk for a wedding in melaka. had fun tho. ;)

the whole day was spent with open houses and all. was suppose to meet up with the Gengkaras that night for a late dinner at The Castle lagi but i was extremely exhausted from the traveling, ended up watching Changeling with the cousin at her home. Sorry guyss. ;(

First day of puasa hari tu, pegi Melaka berbuka dengan adik tersayang~A one night trip, yet so fun.
Eventho every year balik kampung papa, tak penah pun menjejak kaki ke Melaka town, it has so totally changed since the last time we came, which was like the last 10 years. Haha! I feel such a loser. We felt like tourists at our own place ;) So looking forward to a road trip again to try all the good food! :D

half way thru the holy month of ramadhan, and a half way more to raya! weehee.. this year akan beraya di kk. usually we'll take turns to raya here in KL or in KK. selang seli every year. but tak sure lagi bila balik, because of the open ticket and our last minute (as usual) flight bookings, I'm still on the waiting list, Aniq's going back on the 17th. worst comes to worst, I'll skip few classes and go back the earliest could be on the 16th nite.

I'm crazily missing home. though raya in KK wont be that so much fun compared to balik kampung mama and papa (surely bcoz of the duit raya lah, kt KK jarang dpt duit raya, that's when the parents menjadi mangsa minta duit raya byk dgn alasan xdpt duit raya dr siapa2 muahah ;D) and also the goooodddd food from the auntiess back in kampung. arrghh.. im so gonna miss all the open houses in seremban melaka kl s.alam! :(

so seperti biasa, back at home, the 1st day of raya, bangun awaaal giler, by the time bgn, papa and aniq dah balik from solat raya (nmpk sgt xpegi)..then breakfast sama2, lepas tu tgk tv and fall asleep on the couch. nilah kebiasaan bila beraya di KK.. inilah akibat bila keluarga anda berjauhan dgn keluarga2 besar(relatives) yang lain dan most of the friends suma balik kampung masing2, so the first few days sangatlah boring beraya. BUT the fun part is, after semua dah balik, the convoy part is the best. ohh so looking forward to that. siapa buat OPEN HOUSE bagitau awal2 so that we can plan! :D

cant wait to get out of this place from all the work and the stupid dramas.

UKM's convocation just ended today. congrats to the senior mariners. sorry lah xdtg, terlalu ngantuk (habit tidur ptg yg sukar dibendung). Anyway, there was UKM's convo fest, which i went for the opening and the closing ceremony je. during the weekends, went for Eia's convo day at uniten. graduated her degree in information system. congrats bebeh! that day was so freaking hot (global warming sungguh).

I'm stressing out. It's the final year and I'm starting to feel the tension surrounding me. Thesis proposal in two weeks time and haven't started a thing. Excluding the field work. Too damn lazy to start.. what that pisses me most? translating the ref books to bahasa. Dammit..the worst part of all! I should get myself the oxford bm-eng dictionary! Urghh..

Anyway, the girls and I had some outings yesterday. Alah, pegi mines je tak jauh. ;) a day off from work since everyone will be busying their ass off soon. as usual, had few shoppings, most of them bought crocs. almost half of the class ber-crocs, boleh jadi geng crocs. ;) bought some jidbits for my mj crocs. (sorry byk sgt the word 'crocs'). a new wireless mouse ;D since the man u mouse bought from old traff dah rosak (made in china) hurmph.. and clothes. :D penat juga la, ni baru mines. ;p

the highlight of the day was karaoke! it is officially the most exciting+fun+craziest+stupidest+girlish karaoke session ive ever had. totally. ;p from songs tribute to MJ (earth song, beat it, you are not alone), high notes song (kelly clarkson's and more), girly songs (love song, teardrops on my guitar, never had a dream come true), and spice girls! haha. ;p i heart you guys. ;)

Ola~ Last weekend was exhausting yet fantasting. I mean fantastic. We had Zella's 21st birthday dinner in a steamboat restaurant in Sunway on Friday nite. I dont know the name of the place. Though tak ramai gengkaras yang dtg memberi sokongan padu disebabkan a few balik KK sbb cuti H1N1.. darn.. and some busy dengan kehidupan universiti mereka. The trip from Bangi to Sunway and back to Bangi was so not fun at all. I hate being lost.. Amat menguji kesabaran. Thanks and sorry to Ojoy and Nat as they had to deal with my angerness+moodyness+maki2 sepanjang jln. Love u guys. ;) Anyway, that night after dinner, merayau2 ntah ke mana. and yeah, we had some camwhoring session in the car and the parking lot. haha! tiada gambar time steamboat, left my cam in the car. Sorry zella xda gmbr ko. ;)

Saturday was the girls day out and went shooooppping~~ (style White Chicks) from dawn to dusk. haha. konon la, bangun pun almost 12. Penat jalan tapi ada hasil. So, oklah tu. Went for a midnight movie, Land of The Lost. hehe bodo pnya movie. Stayed overnight for 2 nights at Jojo's Crib. Thanks sisz. ;) Sunday balik Bangi. Balik tido sampai malam. -_-'
And that's how i spend my weekend instead of balik seremban. Mak Ngah dah berkali-kali telepon tanya bila nak balik makan durian and rambutan~ Erk.. :s

hi im back. well tanned. the 3rd and last field trip for our degree. yes im going to miss everything about pulau tinggi. just like ive missed everything about tioman the year before. lots of memories we went through in a week's time. the goods and the bads. the misunderstandings and the laughters. urghh.. dont think we werent in a stress moment just because we're far away from the city. no internet, no tv, no classes and lectures but diff kinds of people is enough to stress the hell out of me. but at the same time, it brought love to all of us. sorry to be all fussy and emo but i just cant help it. hee..what i miss the most? ohh.. undescripable.

there's not going to be another enjoyable fieldtrip again without the 3rd year coursemates. there's ups and downs but we went through it together. the volleyball match, hell yeah we won. tehe. the bbq, the boat rides, the divings, the samplings,the lab works.. ahh.. everything lah. kegilaan u all is enough to cheer me up the whole week.

feelings? totally mixed feelings. love and anger all over the place. dont ask me why. and now everything's over (almost over). no more dramas. no more dreams. and im back to reality.

Fetched dearest papa from lcct this morning from KK. He brought a bad news from home. One of papa's staff from Nasi Padang, her mother passed away last few days. Condolences from all of us, Kak Laila. Bringing a bad news to someone is hard, Papa had to bring up the news to Kak Laila since the other staffs couldnt bare telling her themselves. So they asked Papa to talk to her personally.

and he did. Papa called her the next day after her mum selamat dikebumikan. Her family is in Surabaya btw. and since it was her day off, papa decided to meet her kat restaurant dkt dgn her place. Kak Laila with her 24/7 adorable sweet smile pun pegila jumpa boss dia ni. Im sure she was nervous, knape la boss dia nak jumpe personally ni. He sat her down and asked her to hold his hand (boss to staff tau. jgn fikir bukan2) :p.. Memandangkan Kak Laila ni anak bongsu, kena calm her down dulu before he says anything, even abang dia pun takut nak bgtau dia, takut dia pengsan or something and couldnt take the news.

After calming her down, Papa told her. She couldnt believe at 1st and started to cry after being so sure about it. Papa ckp that time ramai student kat restaurant tu, drg sume hairan knape Kak Laila ni tiba2 nangis. She cried and cried and called her brother from Surabaya. If I were there with them, confirm I'll start to cry as well. :s Kesian kan..dpt news mcm tu from far away. Then lepas tu, dia ikut papa pegi Nasi Padang and meet the other staffs. and almost everyone started to cry. Im not so sure if Eia was there or not. Aduh..sebak juga la dengar the news. and while I'm writing this, lagu MJ la pulak terpasang, "You are Not Alone" ..coincidence tau..bukan sendri tukar. Bertambah la aku sebak. :)

I dont know why Im writing this story, maybe because I'm afraid to let this happen to me. I dont know how i can handle this kind of situation. Shit. ;( I dont wanna think about it. *emo skejap

I know its been awhile. Nothing much that can be updated. Back in Uni btw. First week has started and oh yes, busy life has come to town... within this one week's time, preparing for my internship presentation and report. Haih, goreng la apa yg patut. oh good news! ukm might be giving practical allowance worth rm372! woohoo..shopping spreeeee..;) but ive spent ALOT this past few dayss..

By next week 17th to the 25th of July, we'll be heading to Pulau Tinggi Johor for our fieldtrip..tak sempat nak putih dah tanned balikkk.. and yeah, thesis project will begin. Gila la..dah final year beb. ;p by next year, InsyaAllah will be graduating. ;)

dammit, i'll be missing Man Utd Tour on the 18th.. :( :( xpela, sape nak join tgk kt old trafford? :p

and guess what, if everything goes well, there will be a camping trip to Endau Rompin on the 31st. Ahh.. this will be exciting. Another to-do list before i die *been there done that hopefully~ ;D hahaha.. Awal2 ni la kena enjoy lebih.. nnt end of the year dah busy gila babi.

ohh yes.. i'm finally twenty one. midnite - in bed, sleeping and sick. forcing myself not to hang out with the gengkaras the night before eventho wanted too so badly because of the 3in1 package of fever, flu and cough. greatt.. just great.. of all the days, and yet..a 'nice' birthday present. anyhow, it was still a blast bday beginning with a call that very midnite from the crazyfriends wishing a get well soon and a birthday songg.. awww.. im so touched.. love y'all. :D and then knock..knock.. muncul lah a huge chocolate fudge cake.. and a birthday song from the family...weee... love them even more. got out of bed.. and makan..:D and received prezzies. :)

received an early bday 'present' a.k.a exam result the day before..ehem2:D and of course bday messages from friends and yet the ones i hope to wish tinggal harapan je. :s

next morning, got up with a heavy headache and went to work.. had some bday wishes from few collegues and by 430pm, im off back home. malam as usual, family dinner. where else, jap food hyatt. :D

saturday nite.. dinner with the groupies. fish&co. didnt expect everyone to turn up yet they did. and appreciate it so very the much. :p makan.. and after that lepak at Getaran Jiwa.. nice cosy place to hang out malam2 dengar lagu jiwang..haha!

third week of practical. 5 weeks to go! ahh..! ive been transferred to the fish farm in tuaran. and seriously so far away from home. but still back and forth every single day. basically there are wayyyy more fishes here than at the site. there arent a lot of work to do anyway so sometimes it makes me bored like hell. its the same old stuff like i did at site. the interesting part is there's the sharks and stingrays etc etc ohh and the fish farm is near the beach. so, itll be fun yet hottt gila babi. the staffs are nice and sometimes over friendly. if ya'know what i mean. but yeah, even there isnt a lot of work to do but its an experience not to forget. and there'll be a lot more to gain in this 5 weeks time. wish me luck to tahan all the rintangan yang akan melanda.. :( including to get over the fear of handling a snake.. waaaa.. fyi, there's a LOT of snakes thr and of course its in the cages. including phytons. shitt..

on the other hand, been hanging out with the friends@gengkaras day and night despite the tiredness from work, ohh waddahell wanita berkarier perlu keseronokan.. a lot of catching up to do.. went for movies.. makan&lepak2.. shisha-ing.. the beach.. sunsets.. macam2 la.. simple stuff yet exciting every second of it. :) ohh and the latest.. we're heading for an island trip for some tanning (haha..im so tanned already, dammit) .. i mean for some snorkelling and water sports.. weehee.. :D cant wait.. next sunday 7june people..

ohh..hello there..
its been 2 weeks at home. well, not really at home, its been 2 weeks working. yes, thats more like it. as if. so, what ive been doing during my so-call working days or shud i say, internship?? watever. not actually what i had in mind. but oh well.. an update.. there wasnt much to do during the 1st week, it was kinda boring. fed the fishes, treated the sick ones, cleaned aquariums that sorta thing.
2nd week, basically helped out on the shark tank. setting up the tank wasnt as easy as i thought. and it was fcking tired la..and hot. aduhh.. wondering what the others is up to? guys? updates!

i might be transferring to the fish farm in Tuaran for the next two weeks. they'll be lotsa fish and sharks and snakes.. erkk.. and the fun part..divingg..wee..:D

weekends! soo looking forward to weekends. its time to hangout. met up with the gengkaras for some planning up. and cominp up,
bbq @ tg aru on saturday and owh sunset! and of course, movies and lepaks.

2 out of 5 papers. yes, im still in ukm. studying my ass off for 3 more frigging final papers. where else, most of the friends are already relaxing back at home. ahh.. malasnya. i dont understand how can u arrange the finals schedule and give us 10 days gap between the first 2 papers? its not that im complaining but 10 days its just too long. and i hate waiting. i dont study for 10 days ya know. anyway, the last 3 papers will be really in order of hardness;

In 2 days time, ill be heading back to home sweet home. have been homesick-ed for the past few months. its been 3 months since ive been back to kk. haha. mcm 3 tahun pulak..and its been 3 months tak jmpe papa mama since lately ni dah tak step foot to kl. dulu, almost every month either one ni akan singgah kl for meetings..book fairs haha..alumni thingy..golf..or saje2. and upon seeing them, thats when i feel so close to home eventho im still here in bangi *sigh. missing having all the great food when they're around.. the shopping spree..ahhh..:( now, both been busy with stuffs back home. mama as usual with her classes and lectures.. papa with his nasi padang and golf. oh wait. i forgot my lil bro. u wait when i get back. kita pegi beronggeng. :D

This week is the final week for this semester before the upcoming finals a week from now. there hasnt been much activities lately and havent been taking pictures to post up. dah last week ni, baru terhegeh-hegeh nak siapkan all the due dates. dammit. well, who doesnt? dont say u dont.

Anyway, wont be relaxing much when i reach home. 1st paper on the 20th. oleh itu, no wasting time people. BUT of course la xbleh study kalau dah balik kan. duh! i will try my best tho. uhuk!.

The Significant Other.

HAH! incase u're wondering, NO i dont have a significant other. its been awhile since i have one or being involve in a relationship. ive been lying alone wondering and termenung tajam *erk* until u can see thru the wall next door, not knowing what to do with ur full stomach and this thought. yes, LOVEY DOVEY thought, came out from no where.

when it comes to L.O.V.E, i really sucked. anyhow, sometimes, i do miss having THAT special someone in life. being able to fall in love is wonderful yet sometimes do suck *again* until u feel regret meeting that someone. ive been flirting around.. YES i do :p but not with the intention to meet my so-called soul mate. being single has brought me wonders in life. ive never been happier being free from relationship commitments and i almost cant remember how falling in love really feels like.

being afraid to commit to a relationship is my true weakness, however second to my egoism. having a crush is simple, liking someone is fun.. falling in love? is such a scary thing. when u have that special someone, u'll tend to not appreciate it. thats what ive experience in the past and ehem.. present. not only someone, but stuffs too!

anyway, when that special someone is right in front of you, u'll try to turn back and look away. ignoring that he's been infront of you the whole time. but when he's not there no more, you'll try to look for him even if you know he's not coming back. THAT's when you feel regret the rest of ur life and when that time comes, there's no turning back. even if you have the chance to turn back, you'll think twice. just because u're too afraid to get hurt or to hurt 'em again.

have u ever felt, when u've just started to like someone, it doesnt matter if u've known him/her for an hour or two, a few days or few months, and once u found out he/she has their own significant other, ur heart drops to the ground like its the end of the world *ini baru suka blm lagi jatuh cinta! adui. jiwangnya*. and thats when u feel there's no one else in this world is single and free as u are and in a split second *snap!* u feel like a total loser.

honestly, ive been there and felt that way. and i really really hate it. but one thing i kept in mind was, there's someone awaits me.... somewhere~ over the rainbow...ehh ok seriously, all u have to do is wait for them to come to u, or go run and find 'em.
at the mo, i think i'll just wait. :)

some people say im choosy.. some say im jual mahal.. err, aint it the same thing? some say i flirt alot. hah! some say this and some say that.. say all u want.
and honestly honey, im a complicated person. i agree that i can say myself a bit choosy, even if i know that no one is purrfectt..but we humans, always wants the best, never satisfy with what u already have. that's just the way of life. deal with it.

im no desperado in finding my significant other. nor neglecting to fall in love. its has been years and im proud to be still strong to be standing here alone. BUT with the help from my keluarga tercinta and those crazy friends of mine.

i believe that one bright and sunny day :p will come when i'll learn to love and to be loved again.

The Oh-So-Fun weekend trip

The same title i've posted in my fb album cover. From the title itself, we really had a HOT blast in perhentian. At last, after months of planning, we did it! From the proposal dilemma to the neverending calllssss... Aduh.. Planning an official trip wasnt that easy after all. Congrats to the KESSUKEM commitees for making it happen. :)
Hard work does pay off.

Well, besides the 10 hours bus trip to Besut, then one and a half hour by boat to the clear blue island, it was a wonderful diving trip. Words cant explain how amazing and peaceful i've had since we arrived. Everything was purrfect. Well, almost. Bersantai with the girls and going crazy was one of my fav moment. Love u two. :) and not forgetting my crazy+gila-gila *erk* coursemates. u guys are the craziest ppl ever.

The diving was fantastic. The beach was..... sandy. *duh* haha. Overal, it was greatt la..everything! The dive, the beach, the sea, the people *well, some la*, and the food *eventho the food was quite pricey*. but whatdaheck, i have to eat to survive and to live. :p Loving and missing each and every moment of it.

To make it short, im recommending y'all to go there. You'll just fall in love with the place.
Looking forward for our 1week MEGA fieldwork in Redang this coming July. Wee.. :D

Where should I start? Ohkay..
Random activities for the month of Feb-March.

1) 28/2 - Izzati's 21st BIG day. Had dinner at Nando's The Mines with the coursemates and a birthday cake at eia's place. A healthy cake for the 'healthy birthday girl'. :D
2) 4/3 - Mr A-Z's Tour concert. Had a blast with Mr Mraz amazing songs. Fell totally in love all over again the minute seeing him. Though the venue (Stadium Negara) was hot-nak-mampus-kalah-sauna, it was one hell of a night. You were Ahh Mayy Zinngg! :D

3) 10/3 - Another birthday... and its Jo's 22nd BIG-day. Surprised her at her house after our Optic and Acoustics mid sem, and for sure she was surprised. :) Getting pretty good at surprises these days. *memandangkan back in kk we NEVER had a real surprise bday* haha..u know what i mean gals.. *ada je yg tak betul* and you should try this mango cake.

4) 12/3 - Marine Science Annual Dinner; Oriental Crystal, Kajang- urm.. i have no comment. Was.. umm.. ntahla. Speechless. All and all, shoud've done better.

4) 14/3 - Aquaria KLCC trip - Just a short trip to add in to the Scuba Diving Club '08/'09 programmes. :)

Hey.. been busy lately. This week is Lab week. Will be busy with lab work, continuation from our fieldwork in Matang. Yeap, it aint over. Fieldwork is the fun part, lab the not-so-fun one.
BUT guess what, we're doing on forams and ostracods. If u have no idea what is it, GOOGLE bebeh. Anyway, short note. its this small tiny micro fossils u get to see only if u use a microscope or if u have super micropower eyesight. and umm, ive fell in love with these organisms the 1st time i saw it today during lab. Its just lovely *wink2*

Oh yeah, will be heading to Pangkor this weekend for the Bengkel Pengurusan Seni. 6 of us from Photography Club will be joining them for this bengkel. Basically our job is to take pictures with techniques taught by our lecturer, this will be fun!. Wish us luck. :)

One more thing, just letting u all know my latest obsession. In case u didnt know *dont be surprise*, i've been starting to work out. Haha. Been going to the GYM since last week. and it was and still is fun. i've been wanting to do this for ages. and thanks to zati, ive finally joined in. I've grown fed up of not being able to play sports because umm..lets just say friends here arent so active enough and the facilities is still not enough for the whole ukm studs. anyway, high five to the instructors for being the best to train us. :) and the best thing is besides working out, you get to meet new friends. *kening2* :D

Oh yaaa...update on my internship. I've got Aquatica KK's reply. They've offered me a place.

Monkeys and Mosquitos.

Wow. It was one hell of a place.
Hutan Paya Bakau Laut Matang Perak.
We had one of our major subject fieldwork on the 7-9th Feb. Geology and Geophysics Marine. Despite from ALMOST being attacked by a group of angry monkeys, I had fun. The 1st nite started with the memukat activity by the Marine Bio studs. As an oceanography majoring, I couldnt keep myself from eagerly to know how to memukat. So me and the others
voluntarily joined in the fun.

The next day, we took a boat and went sampling from the river towards the ocean. it was burning hot! Did 6 samplings along the way. AND the best part was..Dolphins! YES..we saw dolphins! Oh i mean A dolphin. Hah.. cute. :p *bukan selalu dpt nmpk*. Anyway, it took us just few hours to finish the sampling. The rest of the day, we busied ourselves with the fishes took by lecturers using
pukat tunda.

At night, we enjoyed ourselves with some karaoke with the lecturers! Hehe. It was fun tho. Hanging out away from uni. The worst part was the mosquitos. Aduhh.. and ohh! before going back, we had Mee Udang. It was recently a famous dish among the people in Perak since TV3 promoted the food. Gosh.
My fav! U should go try!

All and all.. the weekend fieldwork was an
experience not to forget.

London, 17 Dec'08 - Reunion of the Khalid's family after almost a year apart. Btw, it was just between Abang and Us. This was a last minute plan to fly to London. Papa has been planning to go ever since my finals but didnt make any booking since then. We've confirmed the booking just 2-3 weeks before. I've been wanting to blog this so that I would remember this joyful vacation, or the friends who read this would help me remember it in case something happens to me. *touchwood!*. Anyway, it was a 10 days vacation to London, Manchester, Liverpool and Paris.

Briefly...
Starting off with London...
It's been awhile since my last trip here. and that was waaayy few years back, at the age of 7-8. On that time, mama was pursuing her Masters in Leicester. Gees. Gila lama. What we did? Like a normal typical tourist. Toured around London and had A LOT of shopping. Westfield Mall was our 1st stop on the 1st day, and fyi, it's the largest mall in London. Oxford Street was the BEST shopping street ever. Being there was like 2nd to heaven. kiddin'. anyway, name any stores, they have it there. Last but not least, the famous Harrods. Mama's fav place! Enough said on shopping, in conclusion, u have to be in London during winter's sale.
i'll say its my best shopping experience so far.

and ouhh.. my finals result came out while i was happily enjoying my hols, and guess what.. double joy! she scores~~! :D DL bebeh..for the semester la..heh! will try to keep up :D.

Next~ Tours. The museums. The National history and the Science Museum. it was quite oh-kay. :) London Eye, spent the New Year's Eve. We were freezing and there were thousands of ppls but it was a beautiful moment with the Family. :) How I missed it. :s Madame Toussoud's. Met everyone there. A-list hollywood stars to Historical politicians and Cartoon Characters. Haha. Trafalgar Square. Ahh.. brings back all the happy kiddy memories with the pigeons. sorry to say, we couldnt find any pigeons when we got there. migrating during winter season i guess? *dissapointed* Underground Subway.. I LOVE the subway..best way to travel cheap. :D

and off to Manchester...
The ONLY memories left from here was OLD TRAFFORD baaaaby!! AT LAST, i stepped foot on the grounds of the RED DEVILS. Ahhh..someone hit me. *dush* it was a DREAM come true. and umm.. i felt like crying! haha Anyway, our first trip was the ManUtd Megastore. and from the name itself, the MEGAstore was HUGE. Macam macam ada. I brought quite a lot. WE bought quite a lot. Hehe. You'd go crazy yourself in u're a BIG FAN! and your family is a big fan. Woohoo! Then abang, aniq and I went to the museum and stadium tour. There were trophies, medals, old jerseys and the Munich Disaster memorial in the museum. I couldnt believe my eyes when we stepped foot inside the Old Trafford Stadium. OMFG. Mau pengsan!! it was an amazing experience. We get to go to the players changing room, the audience seats and the home and away team seats! AHhHhhhhh...!! ok. *breathing deeply* and calming down.......

Ok.. the rest of our days in Manchester was again, shopping and visiting abang's uni and home in Rusholme.

Then there was Paris!..
Spent Christmas and Papa and Mama's anniversary. It was fcking cold. Gosh. Went to the Eiffel Tower, d'Arche and touring the city. Shopping? Mestilah! the LV was huge btw. :D fell in love with it. The almost best part was Disneyland. Enjoyed it so much and dissapointed at the same time cause it was too cold that my leg got cramped and it was hard to walk properly. Dammit. The temp was 0 degree. imagine that. waited for the rides almost an hour or more, and the ride was just 5-10 mins. Mati kesejukan. That was about Paris.

We had a day trip to Liverpool while in Manchester. A small city but it was nice.
Glad we had this trip after such a long time. Missing abang and his perangai gila. :) missing the family with the perangai yang amat berbeda dan complicated. haha! hoping to be able to do it again. I fell in love with London.

Back to Uni.

Ahh.. back again in this peaceful room of mine. I just love being alone. Ok. Cut the crap. Anyhow, it's back to assignments and works and presentations AND meetings. Fuh. Macam2..and not forgetting the fieldworks and trips on weekends!

Oh ya, just got back from LANGKAWI last Saturday.
CUTI-CUTI MALAYSIA.
Went there by bus from Kajang to Kuala Kedah or umm somewhere, tak ingat. It was a tiring journey. A 6 hours journey from 10pm Monday night to 6am Tuesday. My body was aching and couldnt sleep the whole way. The meds i took didnt work, it was suppose to make me feel sleepy. Thank God I wasnt feeling nausea on the road. Then took the one and a half hour ferry to Langkawi.

The 4 days trip was a blast. Though we all kekurangan kaki with just the 3 of us went. One of my friend backed out last minute because of her JPA probs. Nvm. Will just have to go without her. We stayed at the Akademi Kastam Malaysia marine based (AKMAL) hostel. Thanks to Hafiz's dad. Hehe. The most enjoyable part was the kayaking~ Weehee.. penat dowh. :p Besides that, we went to the cabel car, underwater world etc etc and umm.. the beach! Hehe. The second best part was the shopping. For Chocs! Ahh.. heaven. Spend about 100 bucks on chocs. Tak lah banyak sgt kan? :p Quite dissapointed didnt get to go to the Geopark.

That's about it. A brief on how I spend my one week CNY mid sem break. Haha. I've decided not to go back KK like i used to last semester. Kinda miss it though.

Anyway, I just found out about my internship in Sabah Parks.
They'll based me in Taman Tun Sakaran, Semporna. WTF. *siapa2 ada rumah sana, tumpangkan saya. :p* Jauh juga.. i thought I'll be enjoying *sorta* my practical in KK tapi aiyoo... I'm crossing fingers to get the Aquatica KK. Ahh... :s

Lastly, will be heading to Larut Matang, Perak this coming Saturday to Monday for our fieldwork. Looking forward to outdoors. :D

Okay. Tight Schedules this Semester. Despite the not so cramped classes on weekdays,weekends will be a busy one. Besides my 9-12pm Photography class on Saturdays, I'm booked throughout Feb and March and April weekends. Haha. Kind of.

Will be having our CNY+Mid Semester Break starting tomorrow for a week. My industrial training probs is settled. Got a place in Sabah Parks *Yeepee!* but the thing is I don't even know what's the scope of job I'll be doing there. Still hoping for Aquatica KK. *Rakan2, tahukah anda they'll be opening sort-of Aquaria Centre somewhr in KK, not the one in 1Borneo. Just found out. :p.Go Google it. * Will be getting a reply after the CNY break.

Anyway, might be heading to Langkawi this Monday if everything goes well. Yay! :D
